I've needed prescription glasses to correct my vision since I was 4 years old and over the years, I've noticed that glasses have transformed into something of an uber cool fashion statement. Bold frames are in and rocking that geek chic look is likely to gain you a few admirers!
My current glasses had been starting to look a little worse for wear and although I was due to get a new pair back in Febuary, I completely forgot to make an appointment! I was happy when GlassesShop.com reached out to me and offered me the chance to order a pair of glasses frames from their online store to review. Since I've always purchased my glassess from the high street, this was a completely new experience for me.
Choosing a pair of glasses was easy and I found more or less exactly what I was looking for within 10 minutes. I found the website easy to browse and there was a good variety of styles to choose from including prescription sunglasses.
The glasses that I settled on having were the Muskegon Oval in blue. I chose these because I wanted statement full frames in a bold colour and I also liked the subtle detailing on the arms. They have soft, flexible nose pads which I find more comfortable than the fixed plastic styles.
The next step was to give my prescription details which was easy as I found them on my most recent eye test record card. And then finally I just had to measure my Pupillary Distance (PD) which sounded scary but was actually very easy and there was a helpful set of instructions to follow. I enlisted my partner to help and basically he just measured the distance between my two pupils in mm with a ruler!
After all of my details were confirmed, it only took about two weeks for my glasses to arrive which I think is pretty awesome considering that my prescription lenses needed to be processed and fitted within that time too! They came well packaged, with a case and cleaning cloth. They looked great and when I tried them on, they were a perfect fit! These glasses feel sturdy and well made. They are light weight and comfortable to wear. In fact, these full frame glasses are lighter than my designer half frame glasses. And I really can't detect any compromise on quality either!
