Mani Monday: Max Factor Glossfinity in 118 Virtual Fuchsia

Wearing Max Factor Glossfinity in 118 Virtual Fuchsia

Max factor is one of my favourite drugstore brands because the quality of their products is remarkably consistent. That isn't to say that I've never had a product from Max factor that disappointed me because of course there have been a few that have disappointed me but by far and away the majority of their products not only succeed in meeting my expectations but also usually succeed in exceeding my expectations. I think their tagline about Max factor being the make up of make-up artists might actually have a ring of truth to it!

Take for instance the Max factor Glossfinity nail polish range which claims to give glossy nails for up to 7 days. The packaging gives the impression of a beautiful quality product and the nail polish itself doesn't disappoint. It glides on smoothly, has very decent opacity with just the one coat, layers easily without bubbling, sets to being touch dry quickly and has a lovely glossy finish that renders a topcoat largely unnecessary.

The shade I picked up recently is 118 Virtual Fuchsia and it's a bold red shade that falls somewhere between a classic ruby red and a juicey cherry red. It also contains a gorgeous micro shimmer which translates nicely onto the nails adding a subtle shimmer without full on sparkle making for an eye-catching yet demure manicure.

Although this formula will not last anywhere near seven days on my nails, it certainly wears a lot better than many other formulas I've tried. I'm already three days into wearing this and have only experienced very minimal chipping so far which for me, is nothing short of miraculous! Especially considering the lack of topcoat! So I'm definitely happy with the level of durability.

I picked up this nail polish from a pound shop and I believe this shade is now discontinued although thankfully, the Glossfinity nail polish range from Max Factor is still very much alive and well and can be found in Boots and Superdrug among other places.

I'll definitely be wearing this shade again as I feel that it's very appropriate for the up and coming festive period. Not that I want to sound too ahead of myself or anything by referencing Christmas before Halloween is even here but ya know, hate to say it, but there are only 82 days left until Christmas! And that's possibly a more terrifying thought than Halloween itself! So on that note, have a pleasant evening and sleep well lovelies!
